Why I’m Writing Kapwa Compass

I’m so glad you’re here. I started this newsletter because I’ve been where you are. In so many mission-driven orgs, programs launch without clear goals, decisions lack a shared process or data, people are on different pages in different books—and the team burns out as smart people leave.
Kapwa Sol Insights offers more than quick fixes. I work with teams ready to make long-term, sustainable change with real impact. That can look like values-based strategic planning that guides daily choices, alignment sessions that set programs up for success, or end-to-end data strategies that inform decisions. “Impact” means someone’s life changed. Values-based habits and systems make that change repeatable.
At the core of my work is the Filipino value of kapwa, or our connection and responsibility to each other. It’s why I center staff empowerment and volunteer respect alongside program impact. Sustainable programs protect the people doing the work and the communities you serve.
My career has taken me from higher ed—running focus groups, interviews, survey analysis, and randomized controlled trials—to arts & culture, where I coached teams through logic models, to civic engagement, where my work helped political teams make data-informed decisions to turn out voters. I’ve worked with CEOs, directors, and program managers when the stakes were high: six-figure projects needing ROI, leaders making choices during a pandemic, and partnerships with industry VIPs. In every case, I’ve seen how decisions shape programs, staff experience, and community impact.
As your consultant, I won’t hand you a document and wish you luck. I facilitate the conversations that align your team, define success, and map decisions to evidence and measures you can actually collect. I strengthen your data strategy in grants, provide fractional research leadership when you need extra support, and design and execute end-to-end evaluation and learning plans. Some days I’m a thought partner you bounce ideas with; other days I’m in the weeds with you, analyzing data and pressure-testing decisions.
Together, we’ll build systems so programs launch smoothly, the communities you care about stay engaged, and staff can see how their work changes the world. My goal: a shared language for decision-making, a plan you’ll actually use, and the confidence to tackle what’s next.
